Laying emphasis on building globally-competitive cities, HDFC chairman Mr Deepak Parekh has asked the country's mortgage lenders to make housing affordable and available, which, in turn, will help handle the issue of urbanisation in India. He sees a need to develop infrastructure in terms of housing, connectivity and mobility of masses.
